The video latency measurement monitoring system, CC3020, is a high precision monitoring system for multimedia latency integrity verification applications. The intended applications fall within the Broadcast, video conferencing, remote control, Virtual Reality (VR), and Mobile networking (4G/5G) markets. The latency measurement platform relies on the integration of a Reference Video Input module from the BNC input port, and a Analyze Video Input module from the BNC analysis input port. The CC3020 achieves frame synchronization between the Reference and Analysis video streams following Carnation Communications proprietary patented algorithm, via multiple techniques, including artificial timestamp insertion, passive video analysis, and/or pixel level comparisons. Through this approach, the CC3020 can achieve frame level synchronization with accuracies down to 0.1ms. The CC3020 supports multiple video/audio interface formats, including SDI 270Mhz, HDSDI 1.5G, HDSDI 3G, and HDSDI 6G. For configuration and control, the CC3020 supports a full menu OLED front panel or OSD through the output ports. For remote requirements, the test unit supports an ethernet port, monitored and configurable through a web browser.
